MUSLIMS WILL IMITATE JEWS & CHRISTIANS

Mishkat al-MasabihHadith Number 5361
وَعَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «لَتَتَّبِعُنَّ سُننَ مَنْ قبلكُمْ شبْرًا بشبرٍ وذراعًا بذراعٍ حَتَّى لَوْ دَخَلُوا جُحْرَ ضَبٍّ تَبِعْتُمُوهُمْ» . قِيلَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ الْيَهُودَ وَالنَّصَارَى؟ قَالَ: «فَمَنْ» . مُتَّفق عَلَيْهِ
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'eed رضي الله عنه narrated that Allah's Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "Surely, you will pursue the practices of your predecessors, span by span and cubit by cubit so much so that if they entered a lizard's hole you would imitate them." He was asked, "O Messenger of Allah (are they) the Jews and the Christian (who have preceded us)? He asked, "(If not they,) then who else (will you imitate)?"
