Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Amr رضي الله عنه narrated that Allah's Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "Four characteristics are such that if found in you, it will not matter to you whether the worldly gains accrue or not. They are; (i) honouring a trust (which includes giving rights to Allah and to fellow men or to oneself), (ii) speaking the truth, (iii) possessing a good character, and (iv) observing care in food (by abstaining from the unlawful and from overeating).
