DISCIPLINING CHILDREN

Mishkat al-MasabihHadith Number 4977

وَعَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ مُوسَى عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ: «مَا نَحَلَ وَالِدٌ وَلَدَهُ مِنْ نُحْلٍ أَفْضَلَ مِنْ أَدَبٍ حَسَنٍ» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَالْبَيْهَقِيُّ فِي «شُعَبِ الْإِيمَانِ» وَقَالَ التِّرْمِذِيُّ: هَذَا عِنْدِي حَدِيث مُرْسل

Sayyiduna Ayyub رحمه الله who from his father (Musa) رضي الله عنه reported from his grandfather (Ibn Sa'eed) رضي الله عنه that Allah's Messenger ﷺ said, There is no gift that a father presents to his son better than the gift of teaching good manners." [2]
