MEANS OF PRESERVATION

Mishkat al-MasabihHadith Number 4837
وَعَن عُقْبةَ بن عامرٍ قَالَ: لَقِيتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ: مَا النَّجَاةُ؟ فَقَالَ: «أَمْلِكْ عَلَيْكَ لِسَانَكَ وَلْيَسَعْكَ بَيْتُكَ وَابْكِ عَلَى خَطِيئَتِكَ» . رَوَاهُ أَحْمد وَالتِّرْمِذِيّ
Sayyiduna Uqbah ibn Aamir رضي الله عنه narrated, "I met Allah's Messenger ﷺ and asked him, "How may one secure deliverance (in the world and the Next)?" He said, "Keep your tongue in check, let your home be enough for you and weep over you sins." [1]
