Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه narrated that Allah's Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "Surely, a man speaks a word, not speaking it but only to make people laugh. Because of it, he falls down (in hell) further than the distance between heaven and earth. Moreover, he slips by his tongue more than he slips by his foot." [2]
